Art 1 Final Portfolio

                

1.    Which project was your favorite or most successful this semester? Please explain.Landscape painting. 

I feel like the Landscape is my most successful painting. Because I have the dark and the light colors blending the shapes that would make you see that the light is coming from the left side of the castle. Without knowing how to blend the dark and the light colors together it might look a bit flat, plus I put a lot of work into it to make the painting just about right. Also the reason I choose this picture is because I love Harry Potter and this is the picture that my dad took when we went to the Harry Potter World. So I though I would choose this and i'm glad I did. I am really proud of my painting.    

2.    Regardless of whether you liked or disliked a project, which one did you learn, grow, or developed the most from? Please explain.Cartoon skeleton.

I sorta like the cartoon skeleton project and at the same time I don't but it was fun. I know learn how to draw some skeletons from the body. Plus it is kind of fun to see what your favorite cartoon skeletons What i don't like about it is because drawing skeletons is hard to draw especially human and animal skeletons.    

 3.    Choose 1 piece of Art that you used skills and techniques learned from previous projects. Discuss your growth as an artist and how you incorporated these skills and techniques to create the piece. Prints.

The prints are the ones that help me develep my drawing skills. Because when I was drawing them in my sketch book the tiger and the fox is one of my best drawing ever, but sadly i have to do a smaller size because I did the animals a little to big. Even though I didn't do one of the big ones I kind of like it. But the good news is my animal drawing are getting better and better thanks to the help of the printmaking project.  

 4.    Which project do you feel was the least important in learning the concepts taught in this course? Please explain. Shoe drawing.

I did not like this project very much because it is hard to get the right measures, like how big it is, how tall and wide the shoes have to be. But what I did learn that it s not that easy to draw by just looking at it and to just keep practicing and I will get better.

5.    Choose a piece or artwork where the subject matter reflects you as an artist. One that you have a personal connection to. Please explain your choice. Clay Tiles.

 The clay tiles are my connection because I though that I would not get the clay right where I want it to plus I am not that good at clay but I was supprised that I got it. I like the clay titles because it's 3D. I also liked the animal that I choosed and how the animal turned out from the clay.
